2 more completed projects! | Evil Flowers
ongoingongoingongoingongoingongoing

So, I know it doesn’t look like it, because we’ve been releasing a lot lately, but we’re really missing staff. We have 28 dying projects because we’re missing editors for them. And the active ones aren’t doing any better since keeping it up with 3-4 projects it’s becoming overwhelming for our active editors. Since it’s summer now I’m hoping more people will consider joining us, even if you are inexperience we’re happy to train you :) . I finish exams next week so I should have time to take on some new trainees and Rae is just dying to have someone to teach ^^. So if you have time and want to help us out please consider joining us!

We also need translators, mostly japanese. The most urgent project that needs a japanese translator is Hirunaka no Ryuusei. We’ve been translating this one so far by using the chinese raws, but we have them only till chapter 5. Our joint partners are moving pretty fast with the editing, so if we could get a translator for this one, releases will be more frequent.

About the title….yes, we’re completing 2 projects today and hopefully more to come! :) Here are the releases for today:

~ Anata no Mune ni Kaeru hi Made v01 chapter 04 and 05 [And the confrontation with the crazy sister final takes place!]

~ Kimi wa Kirakira v01 chapter 05 [This was a sweet story, but could have used more romance from my perspective :) .]

~ Amakusa 1637 v06 chapter 23-24 [This project is finally starting to move.]

~ Evyione v05 chapter 34B and v06 chapter 35 [More of the hot mermaid prince XD.]

~ Mei-chan no Shitsuji v07 chapter 47 [And a new project has been adopted by us! Hope you'll enjoy it :0 .]

Erm….so what exactly does editing entail? I don't really know what editors do…

There are two kinds of editing positions, and you can apply for just one or you can take both tests.
Basically, the cleaner's job is to prepare the scanned pages by erasing the original text and cleaning up flaws in the image, and the typesetter's job is to take the text from the translation script and add it to the cleaned pags with good positioning/fonts/effects. If you check out the thread on the forum for Editor Recruitment, there's a nice tutorial. that covers both. :)

    Thanks for these.

I see that on the finished scanlations you combine the older volumes to single downloads instead of separate chapters. How long does it take to do this? Will it be worth waiting for them?

It depends on your internet speed really.
