Surely, we're still working on this project. The rest of volume 32 needs to be edited and we've bought v33. Though we really really need a translator for this. If interested, please apply here. We're trying to release a chapter at least monthly. Of course we'll release it sooner if we have it ready. ;)

We're still working on it, yes. Our previous translator for it retired, but I believe there's a new one assigned, so hopefully there will be more chapters done relatively soon~ ^_^

 

As for your other question, this manga is serialized in a magazine and then gathered into volumes which each contain 4-5 chapters. There are currently only 34 volumes, and the last chapter in volume 34 is chapter 139 or 140, I believe. I'm not sure how long the delay is between when the chapters are published in the magazine and when they're released in volumes, and I'm not sure when volume 34 was published, so I don't know how many chapters there might be past 140. We buy our raws in volume form though, not magazine, so even if there are chapters past chapter 140 in existence, we don't have them. Sorry sorry~ ^^"

I returned to the manga after reading it when I was younger and I can't believe its still going on! I'm glad but jeez its been about 14 years!! Thank you guys for all your work on this! Does this usually get updated every couple of months or so?

Yeah! I don't understand why it's still so popular, from the reviews and things I hear from the other people it seems the story is just dragging out right now, like just the same stuff repeating over and over :/ ... i think a new volume comes out every few months.

I can't believe it's ending! Thank you for sticking with this super entertaining project, it's brought a ridiculous amount of joy to my life because the story is side splitting "I can't breathe" funny, the romance is natural in the weirdest and sorta subtle but also overt kind of way, and the characters (all) are absolute treasures. ♥

No idea. I have not heard back from the editor yet either :/

Update: The editor had some computer problems, but should have a chapter ready in a few days :D I'll see if I can ask the head QC to arrange it scheduled for our next release.

Sorry guys >.< unfortunately we won't be able to release this in our next release (v-day). The editor is still working on it. Soooo I don't really know when we will release it, but just know that I will keep tabs on it and will try my best to get it out as soon as the editor is done with it :3

Thanks for the links, however obtaining raws is not a problem. We have up to 34 and actually have enough to buy 35 now. The problem is translating/proofreading/editing/quality checking takes up the most time :/

 

Ahhh time...I wish I had more T.T so many things I want to edit but no timeeee!!!

Heard from the editor's brother, apparently she was in the hospital the past few weeks due to a severe case of pneumonia :( I hope she has a speedy recovery

 

I asked her brother to see if he can send me what she has done of 134 so I can help her finish it up~

The earliest (assuming EVERYTHING goes well) would be this Saturday. The QCer said she could do it Friday but if that fails then it will depend on when the QCer will have free time (because she said she's busy saturday and sunday) and when our next release is scheduled.

Again I must stress this, Saturday is assuming that everything goes as planned. For all we know something might come up and the QCer might turn out to be super busy and won't be able to do it Friday. And then you also have to prepare the release on Saturday, I usually help prepare releases but since I have work all day Saturday if ayne is busy or noone is able to help her with the releases sometimes they get pushed back to Sunday or even next weekend in the worse case scenario.

I just don't want to get your hopes up too much v.v since I've had lots of cases where people say they will get xyz done on abc date and it doesn't happen...

Can u please try and complete this manga in these 2 months.. Cause the series is already completed... And it is taking too long i.e. almost years to complete with the translation... That is also when it is in its last few chaptrs.. Don't know why taking sooo long when it is ending... Also there is no waiting for the raws as all the volumes have already released... Then why is it taking so much of time.... Pls do with the translation as soon as possible... If can atleast 2 chaptrs a month... Thanks...!

 

I don't think that they can complete it in two months plus when they say waiting for raws it could mean that they need to buy it. Two months is a bit too short because they might be translating others manga's and they could also be busy in real life. As long as they keep translating this magna its good enough for me. ^.^ Sorry if I sounded a bit rude.

If you compare with groups that release 1 ch per week then 2 months is not even possible for them.

You're asking for 13 chapters in 8 weeks = 1.625 chapters a week

Like Daisy said we have lots of other projects to take care of, some haven't been released in even longer than this project (Masca, Amakusa, Blue Bird, Piece of Cake, Torikae Fuukaden, Itsukasei Mestubou Sydrome, Dear Waltz, Honey Bitter...). I myself spent my whole spring break typesetting chapters from dead projects (when not at work) including Piece of Cake, Platinum Garden, Oboreru Knife, Suki Kirai Suki, and Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge aka Perfect Girl Evolution (PGE). Expect to see chapters from these projects in a upcoming releases...whenever the QCers are done with them... although PGE didn't make it to this week's release because the QCer didn't get back to me yesterday -.- sigh... Like I have mentioned before it's pretty hard to predict when exactly we will release xyz when we have staffers that say they will turn in work on a certain day and fail to do so very frequently...Pretty much the only time I can tell you we are 90% sure we will release ___ project on ___ day is if it's all QCed and ready to go. (The other 10% is if nobody can make the actual release post or if we don't have enough chapters ready to make a release)

 

Let's see uhm...since the editor is still probably in the hospital I am able to take over and edit PGE at least for a while, but like mentioned above it's pretty unlikely that I'd be able to do a chapter and a half in a week on top of college and part time job ._.;; I can try to get 135 done in a few weeks but honestly how long and when people finish TLing/PRing/QCing it is out of my control. (I help out with releases so I have a little influence on what we release and when, assuming that chapters are ready  ^.^)

 

Realistically speaking if it takes us more than a couple of years the English publisher will probably finish before us and you guys can all go buy the English volumes to find out what happens.

 

I do agree that our speed with projects isn't that great :/ not just this project, but I think lack of staff has a pretty big impact too (notice how much stuff I end up doing myself?! >.<)

Anyway I'm done explaining/rambling/ranting

But definitely won't take as long as last time (so perhaps 1-2 months at the most but not 5+ months... XD)

135 is finished editing (quite a while ago), and I wanted to release it soon, but the QCer left for the holidays on me and won't be back until May 21st T_T alksdjfaslkdfjadsfj OMG AYNE NINJA QCED THIS<3

and 150? o.O I thought it ended at 147...well we haven't bought the last volume yet, so we will find out for sure later when we get there, but vol 36 is definitely the last volume

What do the editors do?

The editor is broken up to two jobs: Cleaner and Typesetter

Cleaner: Remove the japanese characters and cleans up the page by removing any dust, and also making sure the white areas are white and the black areas are black

Typesetter: Places the english text on the page such as dialogue, small text, narration etc in the necessary style/fonts

I just want to say.... Thank you for all your hard work.. This manga is one of the few that I've been following since the beginning... And if it wasn't for you guys doing all the hard work, I never would have had the chance to read it... 

 

Take all the time you need to release the next chapter... This manga is now completed, so there's no rush... All of us will be waiting patiently.... for weeks and weeks, months, or years if we have to...

Can't be helped. If only a handful people are willing to learn how to clean or typeset, then we gotta do our best with the little people we have. ;) We all started out as newbies, there are a lot of tutorials online so if you are dedicated, you can do it! :)

We dont really work against deadlines so dates are always hard to say and commit to.

In terms of progress, it looks like someone was assigned to TS 137 back in May & that person is still active.

That's all the info I can really give from everything I'm able to see in our staff area OTL

I'm seriously whipped for this manga. Knowing that raws are my only access to chapters 137-148 saddens for Japanese is a language I cannot read. But despite my lack of ability to read Japanese I tried to translate the words they're saying to English, to the point where I tried memomrizing the Japanese alphabet (I gave up its so difficult) I did a little bit (like important bits), pretty proud right now, T.T 

 

I got so far, yet it didn't even matter!

 

As I said I gave up in Japanese, and found the chapters translated to Spanish, I was like dammmmm I kno this language quite a bit plus I it was easier to translate to English and I'm like ;]  so proud.

 

I still have a long way to go.  ~_~ *sigh*

 

; heck this is so stressful I'm not supposed to be stressed in the middle of summer break.
