jeongkim58
Sorry. I didn't know how to post and use this website lol. Anyway... Hi! I would like to join. I am Korean so obviously I know how to read, speak, and write Korean. I want to say I want to translate for Japanese too but I'm not sure about Japanese so if you want to test me go ahead but I don't know how it'll turn out so.. lol That is basically it. Oh! I almost forgot. You can call me Jenny and I am turning 19 years old this year and I have already graduated high school last year. I am currently working as a legal assistant in a law firm. Alright! That really is it! >< Edited August 28, 2014 by Sepia test sent
kyujikim
Hi, I'd like to apply for a Korean translator spot if there are any left. My only experience is with translating DICE: The Cube That Changes Everything as a solo project (link to my blog for credibility dicescans.blogspot.com). Edited September 5, 2014 by Sepia test sent! kyujikim
I should also probably mention that I'm Korean. I'm fluent in Korean, but unfamiliar with regional slang and cross-references to other literature/media. Hanja (the Korean alphabet that looks like Chinese) isn't my strongest point, but I can handle simple stuff.
rii
Hi, I would like to have the opportunity to apply for Japanese translator.I dont have any experience translating manga, but I have done some translations for Japanese-English documents. I went to school in Japan and in Australia so I feel confident in both English and Japanese ( I did my first half of primary education in Japan, latter in Australia and studied Japanese at tertiary level). I also have accreditation for N2 JLPT and will be sitting N1 in December if that helps support my Japanese proficiency. Scores and certification can be sent if required.I've been wanting to try out for manga translations for a while, and when I saw an ad on Perfect girl evolution the other day, I thought it was a great opportunity to apply. I hope to hear from you soon Edited September 14, 2014 by SoRa. test sent Quote ~Rii

Guest
Hello ! To be honest, I recently joined here, main reason is to apply for a translator. (And of course to read your awesome Mangas! *^*) I'm a New Zealand born Chinese girl ~ 15 years of age ~ I'm fluent in Chinese and English ^^ I study languages in College as a main subject, so I do know a lot of slangs and modern day terms. (I also take Spanish and French.) Previous work experiences, I've been hired to translated paper works and few short stories before, (if that counts). I have a passion for my languages and I also love Anime and Manga. I would love the opportunity to work with you, as I believe that this would be a great experience. Thanks ~ I look forward to hearing from you ^^ Edited September 14, 2014 by Guest test sent
iik
In order to be a translator you must be fluent in the language you are translating from (Japanese/Korean/Chinese) and English. It's ok if you make spelling mistakes, the proofreaders will correct that. Experience would be great, but if we are the first group you are translating for that's fine too. Everybody has to start somewhere. Pay attention to details. Missing translations and SFX slow editors down. I'm not going to list the projects that we are going to work on right now because I don't want to ruin the surprise. But you'll have access to raws and you'll have a lot of titles from which to choose. We have a special raw section for our staff members. In a way translators are the ones picking up new projects . If you feel like helping please apply! You can leave a reply here or send a private message to the respective Head Translators [Chinese, Japanese-> SoRa; Korean-> Sepia]. Hi! I would like to apply to be a Japaense translator. I am fluent in Japanese and English. Thank you Edited September 19, 2014 by SoRa. test sent
dom_santander
Hi there! I'm a newly member of this community ^^ and I was wondering if you still needed Korean translators. I'm originally Korean and now I'm working as an English teacher. I'm pretty confident in reading and writing in both languages. I have no experience in translating manhwa, so I would really be happy to be accepted by you and I promise I'm going to do my best to be a little helpful. Just try me! Fae
Hi! I'd like to apply for Japanese -> English translator? After finishing my year abroad I was N3 -which is pretty low, but I'm in my final year and aiming for N2. I'm not super fluent but I'm pretty determined to get the real meanings and nuance and translate them well. Experience wise.. I've had various translation classes for almost 3 years now. Newspaper articles, then short stories, now economic malarkey ;__; Either way, might as well give it my best shot! Won't get better unless I try! Edited December 13, 2014 by SoRa. Test sent. Sakura19
Hi I'd like to apply to be a Japanese -> English translator. I am a native English speaker and I just sat for the N2 test last week. I have almost no experience translating (save for a few newspaper articles) but I have been reading manga and articles in Japanese with no problem for a over a year. I will do my best to translate as quickly, accurately, and as naturally as possible. I hope I can be of help to Evil Flowers. Edited December 14, 2014 by SoRa. test sent. Regards, Moncha Well, it's actually really hard to say when sth will be ready. It depends on the staff so I don't want to make any estimations, it can take a week up to (a) month(s). If you are looking for sth to translate regularly we have scans for several K projects ready so that you wouldn't have to wait until the volume is scanned. I'm sorry I can't give you more specific time frames but I hope this somehow answers your question. Quote ayne, aka ayane, ayns, and all the mistyped versions...
